Hi Thomas
Just to say a big thank you from Naas AFC for a superb tournament run by you and your team.
We really enjoyed the day and the experience for all our lads was tremendous as we did our club proud on winning both our groups along with reaching the semi final and final.
Well done to the Glens on beating us in the final as it was a very exciting game.
Great job from you and your TEAM and well done.
Please ensure you send an invite to us next year via the website.
My motto= TEAM = Together everyone achieves more
Regards
Brendan

Biggest Tournament yet is a Huge Success

Our Annual Youth Tournament continues to grow and grow each year. This year we had more teams than ever compete across two age groups u9 & u12. With many obstacles in our way from having to cancel the original date due to bad weather to changing the venue due to it being unavailable on the new rearranged date, we were forgiven to think that someone or something didn’t want us to hold the event this year. So against the odds and a last minute change to the venue yet again, we hosted a very successful tournament. Thanks to Drumcree College we were able to host the event due to bad weather the previous day leaving our other venue unplayable!
Counties Armagh, Tyrone, Fermanagh, Antrim, Down, Louth and Kildare were all represented at this years event. Irish league representation came from Ballinmallard, Loughgall, Portadown, Glenavon, Glentoran, Armagh City and Ballymena Utd.
We would like to thank all the people who helped make this day possible including Drumcree College, Playing for the Future Trust, Playing for the Future volunteers, Scouts Den, Kit Ireland, HSS Hire and of course all the teams who take part in a wonderful event.
Our tournament is all about development and providing players with opportunities to improve in a small sided environment. U9 winners on the day were Glentoran (Cup), Bush Celtic (Shield), Warrenpoint Town (Plate) and Ballynahinch Youth (Rose Bowl. U12 winners were Glenavon Select (Cup), Sion Colts (Shield), Glenavon (Plate), Warrenpoint Town (Rose Bowl).

We can now announce the following details for our upcoming tournament;
Directions
The venue is situated on the Moy Road in Portadown. The venue is easily located from Portadown Town Centre and within easy reach of the motorway. The following postcode can be used to find where all cars will be parked (500 yards from tournament venue) BT62 1EB. The car park is outside a primary school.
Once you get to the school the venue is approx 500 yards up the road and will be on your second left. We will have a sign out to ensure teams don’t drive past the entrance.
Venue
Due to the original date being cancelled we were unable to secure our usual venue for the event. All other facilities in the area are closed in prep for the new football season. The tournament will be held on a hurling pitch, see directions above. The pitches will be marked out using cones and is 100% suitable for football.
Parking
No parking will be available at the venue as we will also have a fun day in operation. All teams can drop off their players at the venue then park at the school (Post code above). A shuttle bus service will then be in operation.
Changing
Teams are advised to come changed. However we do have some changing facilities available.
Fun Day
The Playing for the Future Trust will be running a mini fun day for any young kids attending the event. A bouncy castle will be available with Zumba Dance, music and a burger van selling burgers and tea. We will also have a tuck shop available selling refreshments. Toilet facilities are available.
Registrations
Teams are advised to have a completed registration form (please ensure numbers players are wearing are the same as on the sheet). All teams should be registered at least 20 mins before kick off. Proof of age is required for all players.
Annual Tournament Changes – UPDATED
June 29, 2012 by
Due to our usual venue, Craigavon Senior High School, being closed on the 18th August and many teams unable to attend the 7th July we have been forced to move our Annual event elsewhere.
The Tournament will now be held on the 18th August at the Sports Field on the Moy Road, Portadown just a couple of hundred yards away from Drumcree College, Portadown, BT62 1QQ. Once you go past the school on your left the venue is the second left. You will see a sign directing you to the venue.
We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused. We do however believe that this date is best suited so that teams can prepare for the new season. What better way than to compete against teams from all over Ireland North and South.
