We offer our sincere condolences to the management team of Castlewellen Town F.C u12 after the loss of a family member. Our thoughts are with everyone concerned. See use next year!

Castlewellen who were due to compete in our annual tournament tomorrow have now pulled out and been replaced by St.Mary’s Select.

We would like to congratulate everyone who took part in our Annual Youth Tournament on Sat 18th June 2011;

  • Playing for the Future Cup in Association with KIT Ireland – Armagh City
  • Playing for the Future Shield in Association with KIT Ireland – Warrenpoint Town
  • Playing for the Future Plate in Association with KIT Ireland – Loughgall
  • Playing for the Future Rose Bowl in Association with KIT Ireland – Sion Colts

We would also like to say a big well done to Ben Eagle of Lurgan Town for winning the Player of the Tournament award. Playing for the Future would like to thank everyone who helped out on the day and to Craigavon Senior High for providing the use of their fantastic facilities.

First Player Development Event a Success

The first of a series of events planned went well this evening (23/06/11) with 30 young players in attendance. With the use of the fantastic facilities at Lurgan Town F.C Mark Senior, who works at Manchester United Academy, and our own Thomas McStravick who himself worked at Huddersfield Town Academy last season put the players through their paces. The players were encouraged to express themselves, try new skills and become more comfortable on the ball.

We will be announcing more dates in early September, latest!!

New School added to list

Playing for the Future continue to expand our services. We can confirm that we will be taking over the after school football club in Drumhillary P.S in Middletown starting in late September 2011. This is added to the Basketball club we will be starting in Armstrong P.S, Armagh in October 2011.
