Website is proving a major hit!
Our website has been a great success. We have had views from the USA, Russia, New Zealand, India, Latvia, Germany, Romania, Philippines and Malaysia. The number of views (the amount of times the site has been visited) has been almost double this month than what it was in Oct, Nov and Dec last year as well as Sept this year combined!
New Appointment!
We are delighted to announce that Alex Clifford has been added to the Playing for the Future team. He will join us as the clubs second development officer and his experience and hard work ethic will be an invaluable addition to us. This move in appointing a development officer outlines the progress that we have been making over the past few months and we look to continue to thrive in the months ahead. We asked Alex a few questions about his new roll.
1. How do you feel about your role as a development officer for Playing for the Future?
I am delighted to be given this opportunity, the work that has already been done at the club has been fantastic and I hope to continue that in the future.
2. Where do you see the club in a year from now?
I vision the club to maintain its rate of progress, to keep growing and developing, allowing it to continue to benefit children across a large area through a series of varied sports and activities to suit all needs and requirements.
3. What benefits do you hope to bring to the club?
I hope I can bring some experience which I have gathered whilst studying sports development. Hopefully this will bring some fresh ideas which merged with my determination and hard work ethic, I hope to progress the club forward as it has been doing overtime benefiting the children within the local region.
4. What are your main objectives in this role?
I have a number of objectives which I would like to obtain whilst in my role at the club, but I feel the main one for me it to develop a set programme which can be introduced to different communities within the region in order to bring them altogether through playing a series of sporting games and activities.
5. What is the first thing on the agenda?
For me the first thing on the agenda is to help Thomas and come up with some major aims and objectives for the future, allowing us to develop and attract more participants into the club, allowing it to grow and to be a continuing success within the Portadown area.
